These are a list of the many opportunities to participate in the arts here at First Unitarian.

Our Choir sings regularly at the 11:15am worship service, and rehearses Wednesday nights at 7:00pm-9:00pm. No audition is necessary. Music reading skills are very helpful but not required. Singers of all voice parts who are in high school or older are invited to give our Choir a try.

Orange Sky

Our house band, Orange Sky, is looking for talented guest instrumentalists and backup singers. If you have experience performing pop, rock, jazz, blues, or gospel music, please contact bandleader Melissa Boyack at to arrange an audition.

Orange Sky has released an EP and it can be purchased as a digital download.

If you play an instrument at an advanced level and are interested in offering special music during services, we’d love to hear from you! We’re hoping to have a diverse offering of solos and small ensembles in our worship this year.

Café Veritas Concerts

The Café Veritas volunteers, who organize the concerts, have grown into a great community of music lovers and friends. As our website puts it “we’re basically an extremely social, well fed, overly caffeinated group of people with really good taste in music.” Join us if you are interested in organizing listening room evenings and/or enjoying some great music!
